2027 Vision Board Ideas: 120+ Goals, Pictures & Prompts
A new year can make you think about everything you want to change.
But your 2027 vision board does not have to become a giant list of things you need to fix about yourself.
It can include places you want to visit, experiences you want to have, things you want to learn, relationships you want to make more time for, habits that would make everyday life easier, and parts of your life you already love and want to protect.
The point is to create a visual picture of what you want 2027 to actually look and feel like for you.
If you have never made one before, start with our Beginner’s Guide to Making a Vision Board. If you are ready for ideas, here are more than 120 goals, pictures, words and prompts you can use for your 2027 vision board. If you are still deciding what you want from the year ahead, browse our 2027 Goals Guide for more than 130 ideas across different areas of life, or choose a theme for your year with our Word of the Year 2027 list. Once you are ready to start creating, our Vision Board Supplies Checklist covers everything you might need for your board.
Before you start your 2027 vision board
You do not need to have your entire year planned.
Start by asking yourself a few questions:
What do I want more of in 2027?
What do I want less of?
What am I excited to experience?
Is there something I keep saying I will do “one day”?
What would make my everyday life feel better?
What relationships do I want to give more attention to?
What would I be proud to have done by the end of 2027?
What parts of my current life do I want to keep exactly as they are?
Your answers do not have to be impressive.
Maybe you want to get promoted.
Maybe you want to sleep more.
Maybe you want to finally visit Italy.
Maybe you want to host more dinners at home, read 20 books, start therapy, save money, take your parents somewhere special or learn how to make really good bread.
It all counts.
If you are still deciding which parts of your life to include, our guide to 12 vision board categories can help you narrow it down.
120+ ideas for your 2027 vision board
You do not need to use every category or every idea below. Choose the ones that make you think, yes, I actually want that.
1. Career and work ideas
Your career section can represent a major professional goal or simply the kind of work life you want to have.
Ideas for 2027:
- Get a promotion
- Find a new job
- Negotiate a higher salary
- Start a business
- Grow your existing business
- Work from home more often
- Build a portfolio
- Apply for a leadership position
- Attend a conference
- Create better work-life boundaries
You could also add images of a workspace you love, a job title you are working toward, a company you would like to work for, an office view, a speaking event, a laptop in a cozy café or anything that represents the way you want work to feel.
If you want space to write very specific goals rather than relying only on pictures, our Goal Setting Vision Board Cards include fill-in-the-blank prompts you can personalize in your own handwriting.
2. Money and financial goals
Financial goals are especially useful when you make them concrete.
Instead of adding a generic picture of money, think about what you actually want the money for.
Ideas:
- Save your first $1,000
- Build an emergency fund
- Pay off a credit card
- Pay down student debt
- Save for a house
- Save for a vacation
- Increase your income
- Start investing
- Create a realistic monthly budget
- Spend more intentionally
You might put an exact number on your board:
- $5,000 travel fund
- Debt free by December
- Save 10% of every paycheque
- House down payment
Specific numbers can make a vague financial goal feel much more real.
3. Health and wellness ideas
Your 2027 wellness goals do not need to revolve around becoming smaller or looking different.
Think about the habits and routines that would genuinely help you feel better.
Ideas:
- Get more consistent sleep
- Drink more water
- Walk regularly
- Strength train
- Try yoga or Pilates
- Cook at home more often
- Book overdue medical or dental appointments
- Spend more time outside
- Create a calmer morning routine
- Take your rest seriously
Your pictures might include hiking trails, comfortable workout clothes, nourishing meals, a water bottle, a peaceful bedroom, stretching, nature, a favourite sport or someone enjoying a slow morning.
Choose images that represent your version of feeling well.
4. Relationships and love
Your relationship section does not have to be about finding a romantic partner.
It can include romantic love, friendships, family, dating, community and the way you want to show up in your relationships.
Ideas:
- Plan regular date nights
- Make new friends
- Reconnect with an old friend
- Spend more time with family
- Host dinners at home
- Communicate more openly
- Create healthier boundaries
- Take a trip with someone you love
- Celebrate an anniversary
- Be more intentional about staying in touch
Instead of putting a random romantic photograph on your board, choose something that represents the actual relationship experience you want.
That might be laughing over dinner, travelling together, having a cozy night at home, getting married, making new friends or simply feeling safe and understood.
5. Self-love and personal growth
Personal growth can easily become another productivity project.
It does not have to.
Your board can remind you that confidence, rest, boundaries and trusting yourself matter too.
Ideas:
- Become more comfortable saying no
- Stop overexplaining yourself
- Spend time alone without feeling guilty
- Speak to yourself more kindly
- Start journaling
- Try therapy or counselling
- Take yourself on solo dates
- Wear clothes that make you feel good
- Celebrate your accomplishments
- Trust your own decisions more
If this is a major focus for your year, our Self-Love Vision Board guide has more ideas, prompts and affirmations.
You can also mix personal photographs and handwritten reminders with our Self-Love Vision Board Cards if you want a dedicated self-love section on your board.
6. Travel and adventure
Travel is one of the easiest parts of a vision board to picture, but try to go beyond simply adding a row of beautiful destinations.
Think about what you actually want to do there.
Ideas:
- Visit a country you have never been to
- Take a solo trip
- Plan a girls’ trip
- Take a romantic getaway
- Go on a road trip
- Spend a weekend in a nearby town
- See the northern lights
- Visit a national park
- Take a train trip
- Use all of your vacation days
Your board could include a destination, but also the hotel you would love to stay in, food you want to eat, a museum you want to visit, a beach you want to sit on or an experience you want to try.
For a much bigger list, see our Travel Vision Board guide.
You can also browse our Travel Vision Board Cards for ready-to-use travel images and words to mix with your own destination photos.
7. Home and living space
Your home section can represent buying a house, but it does not have to.
It can simply represent the environment you want to live in every day.
Ideas:
- Move into your own place
- Buy a home
- Redecorate your bedroom
- Create a home office
- Declutter one room at a time
- Build a reading corner
- Start a garden
- Host people more often
- Finish a renovation
- Make your home feel calmer and more comfortable
Add pictures of rooms, colours, furniture, gardens, bookshelves, kitchens, cozy lighting or small details you would genuinely enjoy living with.
A home vision does not need to look like a magazine spread. It should look like somewhere you would want to come home to.
8. Education and learning
You do not have to be a student to put learning on your vision board.
Ideas:
- Finish your degree
- Start a new program
- Graduate
- Improve your grades
- Apply to university or college
- Take an online course
- Learn a language
- Earn a professional certification
- Read more nonfiction
- Learn a skill you have always been curious about

9. Hobbies and creativity
Not everything on your 2027 vision board needs to lead to a promotion, a qualification or a measurable accomplishment.
You are allowed to do things because they are fun.
Ideas:
- Read 25 books
- Learn to paint
- Try photography
- Take a dance class
- Learn to sew or knit
- Start baking
- Join a book club
- Write a story
- Learn an instrument
- Return to a hobby you stopped making time for
You could add photographs of books, art supplies, cameras, music, crafts, dance studios, writing desks or finished projects.
If you want 2027 to be a big reading year, a book stack with the titles you want to read can be much more personal than a generic “read more” quote.
10. Everyday lifestyle ideas
Some of the best vision board ideas are not major milestones at all.
They are ordinary things you want your days to contain more often.
Ideas:
- Have slower mornings
- Spend less time on your phone
- Cook dinner with music playing
- Take more photographs
- Buy yourself flowers
- Go for evening walks
- Keep your space tidy
- Spend Sunday mornings at a café
- Use your nice things instead of saving them
- Build more unscheduled time into your week
This is where your board starts becoming about your life, rather than only your achievements.
Think about a random Tuesday in 2027.
What would make that day better?
Put some of that on your board too.
11. Family, friends and community
Think about the people you want to share 2027 with.
Ideas:
- Have regular family dinners
- Call your grandparents more often
- Plan a trip with your siblings
- Celebrate birthdays properly
- Host a game night
- Volunteer
- Support a cause you care about
- Meet more people in your community
- Create new traditions
- Be the person who actually makes the plans
You can also use your own photographs here.
A favourite picture with your family or friends may say more about what you want for 2027 than any stock image ever could.
12. Fun, experiences and memories
Give yourself a section that exists purely because life is supposed to contain things you look forward to.
Ideas:
- Go to a concert
- See a Broadway or theatre show
- Take a cooking class
- Have afternoon tea
- Go to a festival
- Spend a weekend at a spa
- Take a spontaneous day trip
- Try a new restaurant every month
- Celebrate your birthday somewhere special
- Do something you have been afraid to try
And you do not need to stop at here.
Add:
- Watch a sunrise somewhere beautiful
- Go apple picking
- See your favourite artist live
- Have a picnic
- Visit a museum
- Take a boat trip
- Stay in a beautiful hotel
- Go to a Christmas market
- Take a class with a friend
- Make a memory you will still talk about years later
What pictures should you put on a 2027 vision board?
Once you know what you want, start translating those goals into images.
You might use:
- personal photographs
- destination pictures
- screenshots of places you want to visit
- interiors
- food
- hobbies
- books
- clothing
- nature
- workplaces
- experiences
- handwritten goals
- numbers and dates
- quotes
- affirmations
- postcards
- tickets
- maps
- vision board cards
Our guide to 100+ Vision Board Picture Ideas has a much larger list if you are stuck on what images to choose.
The important question is not:
Is this picture pretty?
It is:
What does this picture mean to me?
A photograph of a café could represent travelling to Paris.
Or starting your own business.
Or spending more mornings reading alone.
Or finally seeing your friends regularly.
The meaning is yours.
Words to put on your 2027 vision board
You do not need to fill every space with photographs.
Try adding a few words that describe how you want the year to feel.
Ideas:
- Confidence
- Adventure
- Peace
- Connection
- Curiosity
- Rest
- Courage
- Joy
- Freedom
- Consistency
- Creativity
- Growth
- Play
- Home
- Explore
- Trust yourself
- Try something new
- Take the trip
- Make the plans
- Use the vacation days
- Make time for it
Choose words that mean something to you rather than whatever happens to sound inspirational.
Add specific 2027 goals too
Pictures create the feeling of the board.
Specific goals give some of those pictures context.
For example:
Instead of only adding a photograph of Italy, write:
Italy, September 2027
Instead of only adding books:
Read 25 books
Instead of only adding a savings image:
Save $5,000
Instead of only adding a workout picture:
Strength train three times a week
Instead of only adding a restaurant:
One date night every month
You do not need to turn every image into a measurable target, but a few concrete goals can make the board feel much more personal.
Add affirmations that actually sound like you
You can also add statements that reflect how you want to approach the year.
For example:
I can try before I feel completely ready.
I make room for things that matter to me.
I am allowed to change my mind.
My time matters too.
I can build a life that feels good on ordinary days.
I do not need to earn rest.
I trust myself to make the next decision.
If generic affirmations make you cringe, read our guide to writing affirmations that actually feel like you.
You can also add individual cards from our Positive Affirmation Cards to your board and switch them throughout the year.
You do not need magazines to make a 2027 vision board
If the thought of sitting on the floor cutting through ten magazines sounds exhausting, skip it.
You can make a board using printed photographs, your own pictures, postcards, handwritten goals, cards and keepsakes.
Our guide to making a vision board without magazines walks through several options.
If you want a ready-made starting point, browse our Vision Board Cards collection. You can mix the cards with your own photographs, handwritten goals and personal keepsakes so the finished board still feels completely yours.
If you are not sure which theme to choose, the Vision Board Card Starter Set includes a general mix of images and quotes, while the Vision Board Cards Bundle lets you combine two different sets.

When should you make your 2027 vision board?
You do not have to wait until January 1.
You can start thinking about your 2027 board in the last few months of 2026 and add to it as your plans become clearer.
You can also make one in January.
Or February.
Or on your birthday.
Or after a major life change.
The date matters much less than whether the board still represents what you want.
And if your priorities change halfway through 2027, change the board too.
Remove something.
Replace a photograph.
Rewrite a goal.
Add a new destination.
You are not required to spend an entire year pursuing something simply because you glued it onto a piece of poster board in January.
Your 2027 vision board should look like your life
Your vision board does not need to contain a dream house, a luxury car, a six-figure salary and a trip to Bali just because those things appear on other people's boards.
Maybe those are genuinely your goals.
Great.
But maybe your version of a good 2027 looks like:
- getting enough sleep,
- having money in savings,
- seeing your friends more often,
- taking one really good trip,
- reading in bed,
- feeling confident at work,
- having dinner with your family,
- trying a new hobby,
- and finally doing the thing you have been postponing.
- That belongs on a vision board too.
- Choose the pictures that make you excited about your year.
- Write down the goals you actually care about.
- Leave space for fun.
- Leave space for rest.
And leave enough flexibility for 2027 to surprise you.
